It’s not bad. The “she shot me, she shot me” part was a little annoying at first, but I got used to it. I don’t know if it’ll do that well though. The Adam Levine connection will probably help.

It’s a mixed bag for me.

At first, I thought his rapping rhythm was off, but by the end of the song it didn’t bother me. Like jchang, I found the “she shot me, she shot me” annoying — but that’s true of a lot of the songs on radio right now. I really liked the chorus, and I thought some of the lyrics were clever.

I didn’t love it, but by the end I was half-way liking it. It could be a hit — but it’s not like Cee Lo’s FU, which I thought would be big right off the bat.

One more thing — the combination of beats was odd — starting off sounding like reggae, then the combination of traditional and non-traditional rap, then whatever the chorus is — a lot of back and forth — and moreso than the usual rap collab.

Yeah, but it has a good beat and you can dance to it :). Honestly I thought it was weird the first time I heard it, but Sirius plays it so much it grew on me, and this is the Adam Levine I love- the fun and not whiny one. My daughter hated it at first now she actually asks me to put it on in the car.

Huh, this is kind of a weird one. I like the verse, but not the chorus and I don’t think the verse and chorus fit very well. It’s like two totally different songs crammed together. Overall a miss for me and I don’t see this breaking K’naan in the U.S. any more than Wavin’ the Flag (I actually heard that one once on Q102).
